Volunteer callout!

Posted 26th Jul 2017

NPWHF is looking for people passionate about women’s history in Australia! Get involved in our upcoming project to digitise our HerStory archive, and help to conduct research on specific women and create audio stories (no interviewing required). The HerStory archive is a collection of 1,500 extraordinary women, including pioneering women in the traditional sense, or those who have been first in their field.

To participate in this exciting project, volunteers need to have:

  • confidence in using computers
  • simple sound editing skills, or ability to learn quickly
  • an interest in women’s history
  • research skills.

Video recording skills are desirable but not essential.  We are looking for people to help from now up until the end of October. Volunteering will ideally be done onsite at the National Pioneer Women’s Hall of Fame, but offsite is also negotiable. To get involved, please contact Dianna Newham, Curator, on 8952 9006 or curator@pioneerwomen.com.au
