The National Pioneer Women's Hall of Fame currently offers three exhibits.
Ordinary Women, Extraordinary Lives
The very first women, either in Australia or their State or Territory, in their chosen field of endeavour.
Women at the Heart
Women born here and those who came to the centre of this vast dry continent Australia, and stayed.
Domestic equipment, craftwork and other artifacts traditionally considered "women's work."
Back into the Swing of Things
One month into 2016 sees us reopened and with some exciting news to share. The first is our partnership with the Alice Springs Correctional Centre and the opening of the new "The Old Gaol Shop". Thanks to all those who have worked so hard over the holiday season on the great changes to our shop and museum reception area. We've also had some wonderful grant news, which will allow us to continue growing our exhibitions. Our second "What's New at the Museum" morning tea is coming up and International Women's Day is just around the corner. Wow, what holiday, we're asking ourselves?!
Stories from the Heart
This series of live interviews with Central Australia's quiet achievers is back for 2016 and takes place on the second Sunday of each month. The discussions promote collective learning and compassion by showcasing leadership and the rich heritage and perspectives of our region. The next Story from the Heart will feature filmmaker, artist and communications strategist Alex Kelly. It takes place on Sunday 14 February between 1-2pm at the National Pioneer Women's Hall of Fame. We hope you can join us.
