Film night: "The Sentimental Bloke" (1919)
Join us for a night of fun as we work our way through the achievements of outstanding Australian women in film, starting with Lottie Lyell in "The Sentimental Bloke". This classic adaptation of C.J. Dennis's verse narrative of life in inner Sydney in the 1910's is rich in incident and centres on the romance and marriage of the Bloke and Doreen.
Saturday 10th October 2015, 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Special thanks to the Wanngardi Film Group for their generous assistance in once again making our film nights possible. Curries and rice available on the night!
